How To Use Pendrive As a RAM For PC

Is your PC running slow when you open more programs at once. If your RAM installed in your PC is less than 4GB then there is possibility of being slow due to RAM. Adding RAM to your PC will make your PC run faster. Do you know you can also use pendrive as a substitute of RAM for PC. The process is simple as you will need a pendrive that has a minimum of 2 GB space. In this post we will discuss how you can use pendrive as RAM for PC. So lets gets started.


1) In Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows Vista

   
     ⇒ Insert the pendrive and format it.




     ⇒ Select 'Properties' by right clicking on your pendrive.




     ⇒ Click on "Ready Boost" and then choose to maximum space speed by selecting "Use the                       device". 
     ⇒ Click on "OK" and then "Apply".




⇒ You will see the drive will show full. 




    ⇒ Now restart your PC with pen drive inserted and you're done.
    ⇒ To revert the changes right click on your pen drive > Properties > Ready boost >
          and than click on the radio button "Do not use this device".
    ⇒ Click on "Apply" and then "OK".



1) In Windows XP

            a) Empty the Pen drive by deleting all the files of it.
            b) Right click on "My Computer" and then click on properties.
            c) Click on "Advance" option from the tab.
            d) Under performance option Click on "Settings" .
            e) Click on "Advance" tab menu.
            f) Under "Virtual memory" option click on "Change".
            g) Select your USB drive.
            h) Click on the "Custom size" radio button.
            i) Type 1020 on the "Initial size" option.
            j) Again type 1020 on the "Maximum size" option.
            k) Click the "Set" button and then click "OK".
            l) Restart your PC with pen drive inserted and you're done.
