5 Easy Methods To Crop A Photo

There are many reasons behind for cropping a photo. If you want to reduce the size or change the orientation or get rid of distracting element from the photos or you want to improve the overall composition of a photo than you should go for image cropping. Apart from this there are many other reasons behind photo cropping. Some websites may ask you to make upload your photos in a specific size or you may want to focus on a particular object in the photo and to achieve that there is only way to do cropping. Now-a-days you can also find online photo editing websites alternative to Photoshop or other offline software that will let you to edit photos online. So i will share photo editing methods right in this post. Below I have points out best five different methods of photo cropping.

1) Crop Pictures using Paint

This is the most common and easiest method of photo cropping. We all know that in every PC there is a built-in paint software tool and you don't need to download any other software for cropping. We are using the Microsoft Paint version 6.1 in Windows 7. So if you are using different versions than just take the basic idea of cropping and then you can easily apply to the one you have. Lets get started in the video tutorial.


           
            ➤ Open the MS Paint program by Clicking on Start > All program > Accessories > Paint.
            ➤ Open the image you want to crop.

           ➤ After opening zoom out the page if the image appears large.

     
          ➤ Click on Select option.

           ➤ Drag the part of the image you want to crop.

           ➤ After dragging click on "Crop" option.

              

          ➤ The image is now cropped.

         ➤ Press F12 button. The "Save As" window will popup. Give the file a name and select the location where you want to save the image. Click on "Save". That's it.  

2) Crop Pictures with Photoshop 

Photoshop is powerful photo-editing software that helps designers or professional photographers to edit their photos to their choice. We can also take the full advantage of cropping or editing photos by using Photoshop software. You will learn about photo editing in the later post but in this post we'll be focusing only on the photo cropping part. We're using free Photoshop version 7.0 for this tutorial.     ➤ Open Photoshop and select the tool showing with a red arrow.

    ➤  Drag with the mouse on the field of the image you want to crop 

  and then click on "Enter".

    ➤ Maximize the image.

    ➤ This is the image that you've cropped.

    ➤ Now, save the image in the desired folder.

3) Crop Pictures by MS Office Picture Manager

         ➤ If your default photo viewer is not MS Office Picture Manager then :- 

       

        ➤ After opening the image with MS Office Picture Manager click on "Edit Pictures".

        ➤ Click on "Crop".

         ➤ Drag with the mouse on the field of the image you want to crop 

             and then click on "OK".

           

         ➤ Click on file from the menu bar and then click on "Save As". 

         ➤ Give the file name of the file in the field indicating green arrow and then click on "Save". 

 4) Crop pictures using LunaPic

LunaPic is a web-based free photo editing website that let you to crop your photos in the way you want. You can also upload photos directly from the web and start editing at your choice. So let’s get started in the video tutorial...

    ➤ Open Lunapic website by clicking it here.
    ➤ Under edit a photo click on "Browse".
    ➤ There is an option to open a photo from image URL's showing by green arrow.

         
         ➤ Select and open the photo by clicking it an "Open".

          ➤ Click on the option showing red arrow.

         ➤ Drag with a mouse in the field you want to crop.

         ➤ After selecting the field Click on "Crop".

         ➤ After cropping right click on the image and select "Save image as..".

➤ Select the folder where you want to save an then save the image by clicking it on "Save".

5) Crop pictures by Croppola

Croppola helps you in editing photos online and is identical to LunaPic. You can select the part of the photo auto or manually with different given ratios and sizes.
